Synopsis: Following the death of her father, Lucía, a young primary teacher living in Madrid, returns to her homeland with her daughter Clara.
There, she gets to rediscover her childhood village, "La Isla". Next to her world bordered by the sea where the wind blows constantly, Lucía discovers another universe, the sea of plastic.
A multiethnic world, born from continuous migrations, moves between these various universes. Some have just arrived, others have been living there for a few years already and some have returned home and seem to have forgotten about their exile. The air is full of the fear of others, of differences.
Lucía decides to stay in the village to take over her father’s business, taking this opportunity to change her life.
This new life allows her to meet Curro, an uprooted man, raised in Switzerland when Spaniards emigrated there for a better life and who is also looking for a place to belong to. The pair of them suffer from their loneliness and lack of roots. They both feel attracted to each other and will live a passionate story of love...
